Getting Started
If you live in Northern Virginia and are thinking about starting a home improvement project, you may be overwhelmed with all the choices and unsure what to do first. Denny + Gardner has helped hundreds of clients through the process, whether they came to us ready-to-build or in the early, what-if, planning stages.
Your home renovation will always begin by meeting with D+G to share your thoughts about your remodeling project and any plans you already have. Depending on the size of the project, the next step is either:
- If we have enough information from the initial consultation, we will prepare a complete estimate for time and expense to complete your home improvement project.
- If the project includes structural changes, we will schedule a second meeting to include an architect. D + G will join you at this meeting to help direct the architect and answer any questions. Please note that there will be a cost for the architect’s services for the creation of a conceptual plan that will allow us to prepare an estimate for your project and the building plans that are required for permitting and construction.
We can offer you design tips for your home addition, kitchen remodel, bathroom remodel, deck/screened porch, or basement remodeling project. There are many practical considerations that can get your home improvement started in the right direction, and Denny + Gardner has gained that expertise through years of successful remodeling projects.
Even more importantly, we will give you a step-by-step project plan, including pricing, so that you know what to expect every step of the way. If the plan needs to change for any reason, you will see the impact on timing and pricing in a new plan document.
At Denny + Gardner, we back up our promises to treat you with integrity and respect. Our clients will happily share their home improvement success stories with you, and we look forward to adding you to our list of satisfied customers.
Now that you know the first steps, please contact us to get your project started.
